Web Series! “Trainers”

I just booked a great role in the upcoming web series “Trainers”! It should be a lot of goofy comedy and hijinks, put together by the writing and producing team of Selah Victor & Michael Onofri, and directed by Alexa-Sascha Lewin. I’m so excited!

Next Project Baby Workshop: May 21st

Auditions are underway for our next Project Baby workshop, part of the developmental series we’re putting up in preparation for our world premiere in January 2013. Since we were so fortunate to receive NEA funding for this musical, we are opening up our workshop process to the public, and would love to have any and all feedback!

“Ruby Red” Readings

I’ve been honored this past month to participate in a series of readings of a new script by the talented writer/director Angela Garcia Combs. The working title is “Ruby Red”, and it’s for an upcoming feature from a prominent director and lead. It’s been such a pleasure to get together with a true ensemble of creative actors and hear Garcia Combs’ excellent dialogue come to life anew each time.

In addition to the workshop of the musical I’m directing, Project Baby, I’m performing this week in CLICK at the Los Angeles Theater Center’s New Plays Festival. I play Troy, a young FTM transgendered man exploring the possibilities of transitioning by asking the troubled Cole, a fully-transitioned FTM, for advice and support. Written by Kate Sullivan Gibbens and directed by Casey Stangl, Friday at 7 and Saturday at 5pm. Both performances are free and your feedback is most welcome!

Next Project Baby reading: Jan 26th

The next staged reading of the new musical I’m directing/developing will be performed on Thursday January 26th at the Renberg Theater, part of the Village at Ed Gould Plaza (at the Los Angeles LGBT center). We’ve been working on a few new songs and restructuring some of the first act, so this one should be exciting! It’s all part of the NEA grant we received last Spring, heading toward the full production which will open in September. The countdown begins…
